KINDNESSUK is a straightforward app which aims to provide you with uplifting and inspirational quotations on a weekly basis.

Kindness UK wanted to continue their company values through this application, instilling positivity and warmth through our mobile daily routines. The application idea is straightforward, aiming to provide motivational, compassionate and uplifting quotes to all iPhone users. The outcome was stated; create an application that supplies motivational quotes at your fingertips.

Challenge

Kindness UK wanted to spread kindness in society with this application so we needed to create something that would resonate with the user, something that endorses a positive reaction and create the aura of positivity. We wanted to create something relatable to everyone but also had that personal approach that users long for in their day-to-day routine.

This challenge provides obstacles, such as the juxtaposition of appealing to someone on a personal level but also creating something relatable to all.

Results

A key factor in this engagement is the colour scheme, which has the profound ability to reject an application's focus or to embrace it. We incorporated the ability to spread the application's awareness over social media platforms with the option to share the content which the application produces. Resonance and the ability to relate with the application was of great importance in the development of the app. As it is aimed to spread kindness, we wanted to spread its relatable principle and therefore provided the application with a favourite button to give the user that extra bank of memory and comfort, allowing a more personal approach. To contribute to this personal approach the user is also treated to the functionality between their personal iPhone and the application, allowing them to take it a step further and save / print the quotes that they find appealing, to their camera roll.
